Account & Data Deletion

Request the permanent deletion of your Light account and all associated personal data.

Option 1: Delete Directly in the Mobile App (Instant)

If you have the Light app installed on your phone, you can delete your account instantly:

Open the Light application on your mobile device.
Go to the Profile tab (bottom right icon).
Tap on Settings or scroll to account settings.
Select Delete Account and confirm the action.

Your account, flashcards, study logs, and profile data will be permanently removed immediately.

Option 2: Web Deletion Request (Email Support)

If you no longer have the app installed or prefer to request deletion via the web, you can send a deletion request directly to our developer team:

Please send an email from the email address registered with your Light account containing:

Subject: Account Deletion Request
Body: Your registered email address and display name.

What data will be deleted?

Upon account deletion, all personal data linked to your user ID (including display name, profile picture URL, hashed phone number, personal folders, study history, and private flashcards) will be permanently erased from our Firebase cloud servers within 30 days. Decks published to the public library will remain accessible without any association to your deleted account.
